Light Emitting Diodes or Led is now becoming more common due to its variety of colors and the energy efficiency of it. It costs less than the traditional bulb in terms of maintenance and also longevity which lasts up to 100,000 hours depending on how you use it. Since LED is a semiconductor, it produces brighter light with less energy. It can also be used as the patlite revolving light because of the small size and various choices of colors.

Incandescent lamps or bulbs are the ones that are very common from a very long time ago. This is the kind of bulb that you will need if you want variety in the sizes and shapes of your light bulb and they also have various ranges of voltage, so you can just choose whichever that suits your needs and preferences. One thing about this incandescent bulb is it usually takes up a lot of heat to the point it could break the bulb. They only work up to 10,000 hours and waste quite a lot of energy, so make sure you are aware of this matter. It is common to find this kind of bulb at any building – including houses.

Halogen lamps are actually the improved version of incandescent lamps where the tungsten filament is wrapped in a transparent envelope and it has a small amount of halogen gas.
